Samuraido is a virtual store selling elaborate and detailed 3D models of historic Japanese armor. The booth’s theme is “bringing Japanese culture and technology to the world” and was made in collaboration with a long-established armor maker in Japan. Items for sale include 3D models of armor used by “Takeda Shingen” and “Naoe Kanetsugu”, commanders in Japan’s Sengoku period. These commanders are popular not only with Japanese history lovers, but also with many people around the world. With the cooperation of a famous sword dancers, we reproduce a sword dance using motion capture and include it as a part of the traditional sword dance to those who purchase the 3D model. In addition to the 3D items, you can also purchase real armor, and we will also distribute a 3D model for free: a military flag featuring Japanese characters, which is popular with customers from overseas.
